Some of you know that Brian and I are going through some rough spots in life these days. We've dealt with some serious blows to our extended family these last couple of months and are struggling for things to smile about. For that reason, I am going to write about some things to be happy about:

The family that is still with us and supporting us during these difficult times.

Dylan, Jackson, Lucy and the 3 on the way.

Friends that are so close to us that they feel like part of the family and smile when we smile and cry when we cry.

The fact that we live in this country and have the opportunities to make money and indulge in electronics, cars, clothes, Starbucks, food and so many other things.

Employers that care about us as humans and understand that sometimes we must endure tough things in life that can take us away from our work.

The knowledge and education that is readily available at our finger tips.

The advances in the medical field that can help us live healthier, happier and longer lives.

Barack Obama and all of his followers

Pets

Weekends

Nature

Non-118 degree weather

The prospect of being able to afford the house of our dreams

Pay raises and bonuses

I think it's a blessing in a way that you feel so sad...it means you both have really big hearts. You can only hurt as much as you can love. I know for sure that Brian loves very deeply and I'm pretty sure that's a gift of yours too.

On a less sentimental note, is my presence in your life something to be ungrateful about because I'm NOT an Obama follower? Oh no!

I'm thinking about you guys. Love ya!

Thank you Jessica :) I am of course still grateful for your presence! I have friends that voted for Bush for goodness sakes. I still love them though! hehe.

:) It is really important to take time and reflect on the good things. I totally agree with the non-118-degree weather thing. Fall will be here soon...sort of!
