Salt River Adventure

This past week, a good friend of mine had a birthday and she decided that she wanted to celebrate with friends while tubing down the Salt River. I hadn't been in years, but I knew it would be an adventure because it always is. This time, we brought a HUGE raft that all 7 of us girls fit on and were living it up while the men stayed in the tubes and paddled us out of the way of rocks and trees. Of course, there is always another group there that "wins" for the coolest floating vessel. This year it was a group of boys that had one of those floating trampoline things. It was pretty hilarious. It was a great time for all. One thing that shocked me and sort of appalled me, is when we reached a part of the river where there is a small hole in the rock on the bank that people can climb up and jump off into the water (don't recommed it as it does NOT seem safe at all), there was this college girl up there and she was COMPLETELY naked standing next to like 10 clothed college boys. Um, I wonder what kind of parents this girl grew up with?? Anyway, if I wasn't a little tipsy and I was a parent floating down the river with my children, I would have been pretty angry at this little ho-bag. All in all though, it was a lot of fun and I'd even be tempted to go again sometime. I however, like to keep my bikini on and in place :)

Hello. Yes, blogging makes friends. With all your fun crazy adventures, how do you maintain your "zoo" at home? :P

It's a full time job. I am a mommy that has yet to give birth.

:) OMG, how low does one's self esteem have to be for her to think that she can only get people to like her by stripping down butt-ass naked for the whole world to stare at. Sad. Glad you had fun, though!

I was wondering where you were. I kept checking back for updates to no avail. Glad to see you're still here :) I for one am not a huge fan of rivers, especially ones that have the white rapids, but I guess if someone was tubing alongside to assure there would be no tipping, I might give it a whirl. You do seem quite adventurous, always some exciting weekend. I guess I will just live vicariously through your fun times. p.s. J town is having some funky chest junk in his lungs (he sounds really phlemy when he coughs and even sometimes when he's just breathing) and lots of snotty, you think you could ask Charlie if they did anything special for Rebecca when she got a cold?

Thing about the Salt River, is that it's not really "river-like". It's pretty slow moving. Like, you can't go white water rafting down it... sometimes you can't even float the whole thing beacause it's too low! The scariest thing about it is the dirtiness level of the water! Anyway, its pretty fun. Next time you are here over the summer, we should plan a trip :)

Peaches N Cream, they're totally delicious and not holiday related so they're good to make whenever!
