Baby Update

Last week I had my first ultrasound! Brian and I got to see our baby's heartbeat for the first time and it was truly emotional :) It might have been more so if it weren't first thing in the morning and we were both rather sleepy still. Baby's heartbeat was measuring 136 BPM. We met with the doctor afterwards and unfortunately I had lost 4 pounds since our last visit because I hadn't been able to eat anything due to the lovely nausea that comes along with the first trimester. I actually realized later that the weight loss pretty much saved my life for the next 6 or so weeks because I was prescribed a magical drug called Zofran... I am a new woman!! I can eat again and it's amazing! I wish I could post the blurry little picture of the tiny babe on here, however, our scanner has been malfunctioning so you'll just have to imagine :) As of yesterday, I am 8 weeks along. Only 10 more weeks until we know if we should start buying blue or pink! We're now taking votes as to what you all think we're going to have, so let us have 'em!
