Still pregnant. Not much has changed in that aspect! Although a new symptom has kicked in and it's my favorite so far - heartburn. Awesome! Never had heartburn in my freaking life until now. Oliver happily kicks away at my insides after I eat on most occassions now. His movements are definitely getting stronger and Brian and I can sit and watch him go to town. Brian also likes to put his mouth to my belly and talk to him in a low tone, so that hopefully I can't hear and he can have a private conversation with his son.
Brian is actually boarding a plane right about now to head to Colorado for a couple of days. I'm extremely jealous, but I did make a trip to Illinois without him recently, so I suppose I can let him have some fun without me. He's been working really hard and having to ride his motorcycle around in this 115 degree heat. It's probably like a gorgeous 80 degrees in Colorado right now, so he'd better get his fill!
Pictured below: Brian wanted to share the exciting news of our little boy with his Dad :)
In other news, Brian has been interviewing with Cox Communications for a Home Service Technician position. My Mom's brother, Phil has worked for Cox for about 20 years and he's been helping us work through the application process. So far, they seem to like him and he's got his second interview scheduled for this Friday. If he is offered the position, he'll get a work truck and he'll be going around the Tempe area installing cable for customers. He'll be "The Cable Guy"! We're hoping this pans out so Bri can finally get off of the phones and get back to working with his hands again - which is something that he has a passion for.... and maybe, just MAYBE we'll have weekends off together again! I totally miss just having some time together to make plans and go on drives, or even just to Target! Although, I think I will continue my solo grocery shopping trips... I'm just much more efficient while going alone :) Don't burst my bubble just yet, but I have a feeling I'd still be better at it even with a baby in tow... at least until he starts recognizing items that he wants and asking for them!

Even with a baby in tow, you will still be a more efficient grocery shopper if you leave your man at home. You can tell your child to sit down and be quiet, but it's not as kosher when you say it to a grown man. ;)
And good luck to Brian on the Cox job!
Awe, that picture is really sweet.
So sweet! That will be a cute picture for Olie to look back on when he's older!
I LOVE shopping alone....it's fun with a kid though, but Im not a fan of adults going, I def get more done :) and boy do I hear ya on the heartburn...yikes, and it gets worse! But YAY! you look great! half way there!
Great post Karin, I appreciate it! Tell Brian we're pulling for him, that sounds like a job opportunity right up his alley.
