31.5 Weeks

First and foremost, I am remembering those that we lost 8 years ago today. Although I never personally knew anyone that died in the 9/11 attacks, this day changed us all not only as individuals, but as a country and we will never forget!

On a much lighter note, Baby Oli is still growing and it now feels like my entire stomach is alive! He can kick me in the ribs now (awesome) and sometimes he pokes his limbs out on both sides of my tummy at once - very odd and still catches me off guard. I'm tipping the scales at 140 now and his little heartbeat still measured at 153 BPM.

Brian and I have been attending some childbirthing classes on Thursday evenings this month. So far, it's been fun to meet other couples that are expecting their first child and learning all the relaxation techniques that I'll probably completely forget once I'm in pain. In a perfect world, I'd love to use these to get through labor and delivery without pain medication, however, I'm not unrealistic! My mother did give birth to four of us, completely naturally and I would love to follow in her footsteps. Brian is more gung-ho about that than I am, I'd say, but I will go as far as I can on my own. I can't predict what it will actually feel like or how the delivery will go, so I'm keeping my options open :) I told Brian that even if he's the most amazing coach ever, there may be a point that I hit that there will be no stopping me if I want the drugs! So, he shouldn't feel like he failed me.

We're getting very anxious to meet this little man that's about to rock our world!

It's good that you are keeping an open mind about your delivery...especially with the first one. It's impossible to know how things will go and how you will deal with it since you have never been through it before. So it's good to be flexible. As long as mom and baby get through it healthy, then it really doesn't matter how it happens. But you are getting closer...!

You're amazing! I would have loved to have tried to have one of these kiddos natural, but let's face it im a WUSS! Childbirth is amazing no matter how it happens! way to go on your classes, and now from here he's just guna get fatter! :) let him cook longer then I did with Brady, it's been hard!
