Spontaneous California Trip!

Friday evening about 5 or 6pm we just decided to pile in the car and drive to Sacramento to visit some family! Actually, it was really because Brian somehow convinced his work to let him have a few days off and it was take it now or leave it! So we took it! We've been meaning to get out there for a visit for quite a while now. Our nephew Logan just had his first birthday at the beginning of this month and this was the first time we got to meet him. Also, we just had to introduce our little guy to his Grandma Oliver, his Aunties Carmen and Nina, his Uncle Brett and 4 of his 6 cousins! We had a great time! Here is O chillen with Jackson, Leila, Logan and Dylan. It just so happened to be Dylan's 4th birthday the morning that we arrived. We're so glad that we got to spend it with him! He kept telling me how glad he was that we came to visit. Love him!

Oliver did really well on the drive. We drove over night both ways so that he would sleep and we'd miss most of the traffic. The only part of the drive that he had an issue with was the last couple hours on the way home. Not bad for a 3.5 month old! First family road trip was a success! Can't wait to do it all over again.
