I've been slacking with updating you all on Oliver's new developments. Mainly just because there has been SO much going on around these parts that I hardly have time to sleep these days, let alone blog.
Oliver has TWO very sharp teeth on the bottom. He cut the first one at 4.5 months and the second one came about a week later. He's in the stage of putting everything into his mouth, including your fingers and when he bites down, it really hurts! No wonder they made him so cranky when they were coming in. We've been giving him tons of teething toys and using the baby Orajel. He screams when you first put it on, I'm assuming because of the taste, but he definitely acts happier when he's nice and numb.

He's really been enjoying his rice cereal and is getting pretty good at the "opening wide" and swallowing although it took a few very messy tries first!

He will NOT sit still anymore. He's mastered the rolling over from his back to his tummy. Most of the time as soon as you put him on his back, he rolls over immediately. I'm starting to get a little concerned that the scooting and crawling are not far away! We have some serious baby-proofing to do! You can't leave him in the baby bouncer and be anywhere other than right next to him anymore because he'll roll over in that too, making it so his body is bent in a not-so-comfy looking way.
He says, "Dadadadadadada" over and over again. No "Mama's" yet - BOO!! He also "growls" a lot. Brian and I go, "RAWR!" and he repeats :)
He has a few favorite toys now - he loves his half monkey/half blanket stuffed toy when he goes to sleep he cuddles with it. He also enjoys his rattles and keys and he spends quite a bit of time on his Fisher Price Jungle mat these days.
He now knows what a bottle looks like and what it is. He gets super excited and wide-eyed when we're mixing it up and sometimes even makes fun little noises in anticipation.
We just love our little boy more and more each day!

Precious! this stage is SO fun! they babble and coo more, and laugh out loud! Brady isn't saying any words yet..that we can understand so that's AWESOME Oli says DADADDDA! Kinz 1st word was dadda too..boo. Oh well.
I think da da is just easier for them to say :)
These babies get too big too fast! Super fun times ahead though, once they get past that newborn stage where they just lay around, it gets really interesting! He is going to be crawling around and tearing the place up before you know it!
Awe! Wow, he has changed so much in such a short period of time, yes?!
i need more pics...the text pic this a.m. was the cutest thing ever! LOVE him!
Don't worry, Dada is always the first word...annoying isn't it?! We're the ones who did all the real work to bring them in this world and then they say dada first!
Ahh, once they start crawling and really moving around, you are screwed for a long time! Logan is just about there.
Oh, and I think Logan has the same monkey-blankie as Oliver! That's his bedtime blankie as well! Let me give you a tip...go buy another one while you can still find it.
Conner was always super attached to his little "sleepy bear" and got to the point where he would NOT sleep without it. I remember one time I left my car unlocked outside with my purse and diaper bag inside and later I had a thought about my car being stolen and I wasn't even worried about my wallet...I was worried about sleepy bear being stolen! Now I have back-up's for both of my boys' cuddly items. Plus then there is an extra clean one for a keepsake.
He actually does have two of the bear/blankie things. One is a monkey that says, "I'm Bananas" and the other is a bear that says, "I Love Hugs". It does come in handy to have two when one of them is dirty and needs a washing :)
