Hello Long, Lost Friends!

I've had numerous requests to get back on this blog and do some updating and boy do we have some updates for you! Our first major update of late is that we are expecting!  I am in fact about 16 weeks along now and we will hopefully be finding out the gender of our little, growing baby in about a month's time.  This pregnancy has been flying by in comparison to my last one, I must say.  Also, I am now officially a stay-at-home mother and all around, whip-this-family-and-home-into-shape-magic-worker.  It truly is amazing just how much has been lying around on the back burner when it comes to every day tasks and responsibilities.  I have to say that I am MUCH more relaxed this time around than I was when we were expecting Oliver.  Probably because I feel like I have the time to prepare for this baby and the added fact that we pretty much know how this whole process works now!

I was definitely sad to leave my job at The Goddard School of Fort Collins in the infant room, but this is the best option for our family at this time and when baby comes, I'll be "forced" to stay home and raise my own babies instead of everyone else's.  Oh how horrible.... ahem.  Brian is now working at a custom wood-working shop called, Aspen Leaf Kitchens Limited and he LOVES it.  First time I've ever seen my husband enthusiastic about a job.  He's finally managed to bust out of the Sales field and into something he enjoys.  He's learning a fabulous new trade that he'll be able to take with him for the rest of his life.

We honestly don't have much to complain about these days!  We love our new home in Fort Collins, we're surrounded by friends, we are so excited to be growing our family and Oliver is still just the happiest and smartest kid I've ever met.  We could definitely handle some more family around us, but we do feel lucky to be able to visit every now and again and we've also had quite a few visits from family and friends just in these last 6 months.

I'll leave you with some recent pictures of our fabulous little boy and I promise to keep up with this blog better now that I am staying home!  Here is Oliver in a school picture, just shy of his 2nd Birthday :)
