That the Glucose Test was easy breezy! They only took one vile of blood, which I handled no problem at all and the "orange soda" wasn't fab, but wasn't horrible either. The suckiest part of the whole thing was the waiting for an hour for the orange drink to get into my system. So for those ladies out there that have yet to experience all of these wonderful things that come along with pregnancy, No need to fear the Glucose Test!
I really think my episode at the blood bank when I was 6.5 weeks pregnant had more to do with the fact that I was not able to eat for days prior due to morning sickness, combined with the fact that she took 5 viles of blood AND kept freaking talking about my damn veins. I don't want to hear about how small my veins are or blood flowage or anything of the sort. I've learned to let the tech know that I prefer to talk about other things while they are doing their thing so I can keep my mind off of it and just let it happen. Stick me with needles all day, just don't talk about my veins!! Ew.

See, you got all worried for nothin'. Glad everything went well. I'm ready for some more baby bump pictures, you haven't posted any in a long time. Also, how funny is it they everytime you get blood drawn they talk about how small your veins are and everytime I get it drawn they go on and on about how big my veins are. I mean really, aren't veins just veins? ha, guess it's a good thing I'm not a medical professional.

i've got huge veins too carm. when i get my blood sucked they're always happy because it's easy to find them and whatnot... and obviously veins aren't veins, check out mark thomason's vein. you dont have one of those i dont think =)
Veins are just gross! Ew. I could never be a nurse/doctor/anyone that has to deal with veins!
