Mother's Day and Oli Sitting Up

My very first Mother's Day started out with eggs, toast, OJ, coffee and a happy baby boy in bed at 9am. Oliver can cook up a yummy breakfast! Just kidding - Daddy took care of the cooking this year, but I fully expect some breakfast in bed from my little boy in years to come. My mother tells me that us bringing her breakfast in bed on Mother's Day were some of her best memories.
We then went out to pizza for dinner at a new place that my Mom and Step Dad found one day by accident. Some of you may know our strange tradition of bringing frozen pizza back from Illinois on our flights. You just can't seem to get this certain style of pizza in AZ - UNTIL NOW!! The owner of The Pizza Pit in Mesa, AZ has the recipe from Sluggers Pizza in the Quad Cities in Illinois. They even have pictures of our home town adorning the walls. It makes us feel at home and we're planning a dining room takeover with all of the QCers that we can conjure up sometime soon. Here is Oliver hanging out with G&G Michaelsen at Pizza Pit :)Please disregard my lovely sans makeup, glasses covered face and frizzy bun in this pic below - Just focus on the happy baby that is hanging out with his parents and showered with love.
And of course I must share Oliver's newest thing... sitting up on his own! He's getting to be a pro.

:) So, has Oliver lost some hair since he was a baby- or is it just me? It also looks lighter now.

Good job to him for sitting up as well! I love that milestone. They look less helpless and pathetic once they can sit upright!

And a Happy First Mother's Day to you!- belated ;/

Um, he's lost just about ALL of his hair save the attractive comb-over. The lighter stuff is new growth!
