Father's Day

Daddy and baby on Father's Day Hanging out at Outdoor World. Seriously this place is crazy huge. It's two levels with a waterfall and live catfish and salmon swimming around in an aquarium. They do live feedings throughout that day that you can watch. They have a fudge shop that makes fresh fudge all day that we of course had to try. Our main purpose for going was to buy daddy a case for his new rifle. He knows that mommy won't allow him to keep his guns unless he stores them properly and safely under lock.

I think this is a sign that we need to take this child out of the house more. Whenever he gets into the sunlight it's like he's part vampire or something. Sunlight really bothers him. Another reason that we're living in the wrong state.

Later we went to Rawhide to partake in the free steak dinner for dads that they were offering with a reservation. Rawhide is a little, old western town complete with shows (we saw a "shootout" in front of us - the shots scared O) and burro rides.

This is just funny to me - haha!

Waiting for dinner - our reservation was for 8pm because we were told that was the earliest time they had left, however, the restaurant never seemed super full.

I think you can see how tired Oliver is in this last pic! I wasn't looking too hot either so I chopped my scary mug out of this one.
All in all it was a fun day and it was nice to hang out as a family and do stuff. Working opposite schedules to avoid childcare has its rough moments, but it makes us appreciate the time that we do have together that much more. Happy Father's Day Sweetheart!

that looks so fun! I love that O is always so happy, I feel like anytime I ever get great ideas to go some place special one or both of my boys is having a meltdown of sorts :) Glad Brian enjoyed his first official father's day!

:) What a neat idea for a free father's day! Don't worry, when Conner was a baby we never left the house either. When O becomes a toddler, though, you'll be desperate to get him out and burn some of his energy!
